How can I be proud of my China if we are a nation of 1.4bn cold hearts?

The death of the two-year-old run over as passersby ignored her is symptomatic of a deepening moral crisis

The Yue Yue incident serves not as a nationalistic instrument to put in shame the moral debility of the Chinese people, but reminds us of the moral duty/need that every person should have to the community and the society. We need to appreciate the utmost necessity (not merely willingness) of extending a helping hand to the people around us, because the world could really do better off with a bit of love and care.
