After long awaits. I can't wait to get my hands on my pink IC!
...Just when the '87 poly kids are enlisting this year.
Sidetrack a bit. But this is such naggy business, having my wing head to get me to re-write my testimonial (since when do we write our own 'testi'?!).
SINCE WHEN WAS THERE ANY ACHIEVEMENT TO SPEAK OF IN ARMY?!?!!?
MSG Hoo says to make ourselves available one day after we ORD, because they will be holding a makan session! Yays.

I'm Still Pretty Much Alive & Well

Just a kind reminder to tell you I'm still pretty much alive and well.
I just went for my followup second round of dental surgery at Alexandra Hospital yesterday and got my wisdom teeth extracted. A less painful ordeal than the former experience, but I chose to keep my eyes closed and breathed heavily while lying on the surgery table wrapped under the thick layers of fabric sheets this time. Probably wanted to get over with the whole thing ASAP.
Thankfully there is less swelling and bleeding and I am recovering well in time to fly overseas (which I will talk about later). The sad part about post-surgery life is that my diet is circumscribed to only food that can be swallowed whole, i.e. congee and oatmeal.
My hair is in brilliant streaks of goldeeeeshine but I haven't had the chance to snap a good photo to show y'all.
Oo Oo Oo. And I want to thank Jo for lending me his PSP for the week so that I will be much preoccupied to think about my gum-ache. Also, thank you for the baby teddy to speed up my recovery (I hope).
Okay. So if you haven't heard so far...I am flying off to Taiwan this Saturday with PapaMama! Yays. Haven't gone on a holiday for a very long timeeeee! This one should be very memorable especially since it's a family holiday I haven't gone for for a very very long time! Will snap lots of pics there, yup.

I had really delicious Grilled Mushroom Chicken at Secret Recipe today.
...oh and have I forgot to mention, my hair is coloured once again!
One wild night hanging out with Fye, Nic, Joseph and a whole rojak throng of friends. The dance floor was a stampede but thank goodness no hard feelings with the stepping of each other's shoes.
We celebrated Joseph's birthday down at Play; the birthday boy got a really creamy chocolate cake from Takashimaya (*envious).
EH! Slide.com is like animated NeoPrint online! This is truly himbotic, but hahaha I am having so much fun decorating our faces now. Okay think I won't overdo it in case Fye decides to murder me the next time he sees me.

A conclusive week to my one and a half years of mortar experience in national service. A 3D2N summary exercise outfield, plus, the finale: mtc live firing. You don't need to know what I am rambling about (not like I am obliged to expound any further) because I will probably be threading into military details which I have been strongly cautioned to stay out of. So I will just talk on surface level about my eventful week.

Like any exercises, things didn't turn out the way we wanted. But we drew bountiful positive lessons from the adverse challenges faced. It is really heartening to see true friends supporting one another and giving the genuine moral support along the many phases.
I am also thankful for the opportunity given this week to catch up with acquaintances I haven't met for a long time (most of them from 41SAR) and make new friends.

I am a guilty chap who has clearly forgotten my fellow instructor's birthday. To salvage the situation, my little conscience that went prickling the whole day made me text a sms to him. Belated greetings, I hope it's not too late.
I have come to a conclusion, that if guys were to be rated from A to D, I should be categorised under the B group. (Just when I was thought I should be given an A grade, until I went to do a bit of blogsurfing that really made me feel so unworthy.) But on the bright side, I think I belong to the better ones within B Cat...like I should score a 70 out of 100 marks? Okay, this is so shameless. I don't know what made me say that.
Getting a new handphone by year end. Eddie is preying on a Sony Erisson (grins).
Went NTUC with Papa and Mommy to get the stuffs I need for my 3D2N outfield exercise this coming week. Have got insect repellent (must-have!), crunchybars (cookies and cream flavour leh!) and, okay this sounds silly, but I got 蛇草水.

Comeback

Just when you thought I won't be blogging for a very long long time...
Jo, Fye, Nic and I hung out at Vivocity to catch Resident Evil: Extinction on screen. Good scares, spectacular CGI and fighting scenes but apart from all that, the churning out of the plot made the whole story really mediocre. I like Milla Jovovich when she does her pow-wow Matrix fighting - haha.
I have been dreadfully preoccupied with training the past one week. But the satisfaction of training can be gratifying enough to substain myself out in the baking sun.
Giving tuition to a sec 1 kid can be quite nervewracking. Especially he can't figure out simple mathematics like how to derive the value of x from 2x=3.

Random muses, something I like to do often.
For the past few days, I have had crunchyroll and honeystar to live on at home. Of course the former isn't food to be exact.
It's quite depressing to see some social acquaintances leading good lives ahead, doing their studies overseas at prestigious universities and almost securing a bright future with (on top of that) a throng of wonderful friends surrounding them, and here I am caught struggling in the rat race. Yeah and trust me, you get that often in facebook and friendster. But it's not like I am overly bitter over it. Probably just wishing for something more to the current state of life.
Am missing out on several persons' life. People like Zee, Woon, En, Pris, Desmond, JS, Michelle...and I am not shy to admit that I truly miss them. But it takes a lot more courage to look them up, because you never know whether or not they are interested in your life as much as you are in theirs.
Fye and I dreamt of travelling together with our respective loved ones. =)
These days, I feel less regarded for among my colleagues. And I am feeling really old.
I really should be sleeping.
