A day with Papa Mama
Saturday, January 27, 2007 - 9:40 PM
Had my driving lesson with my new instructor this morning at YCK. It turned out that I am pretty comfortable with my instructor, at least he's really nice to me. And I have improved significantly on my turnings and aligning my vehicle on the lane. Yay.

Later in the afternoon, went out with my entire family to JB for shopping. Didn't do much shopping cuz the stuffs there weren't comparatively cheaper by far to those in Singapore. Don't buy save even more money mahhh~ Had a great meal at Black Canyon Coffee, was rather amused with the thai waiter who could speak fluent mandarin to us. He went like Gong Xi Fa Cai all the way, so much so that it sounded rehearsed.

Am planning on going dragonfly with Jo one of these days. Haven't been to a mandopop club so far. Anyone keen to go?

Argh. Remember I mentioned about my application for leave last week? Well my guess is that it's kinda screwed. My boss just flew for NZ and my warrant officer hasn't approved it yet. BOOOos.

Erratic
Sunday, January 14, 2007 - 2:50 PM
Arrrr. My hols plan has been foiled by my boss! Was about to apply leave for march, had already been planning my trip to Thailand. Now the workplan for the year has been revised and there is a sudden crash course in early February. Courses just never cease in my wing. Anyways I have already submitted my leave application, hope my boss blindly approves it so that I can fly for Bangkok...hee.

Fucking 2nd Lieutenants. Don't see why there is such a great disparity between specialists and officers? They get 2/3 more of what I earn and yet they are so much more privileged than us specs. I don't see why only 3SGs have to stay-in and officers don't, like we are on the bottom of the chain list in command (which we obviously are, duh).

So maybe I belong to the minorities who choose not to suffer in silence, and maybe I have so much to wrangle about in army life. To me, it doesn't matter whether my concerns are addressed or not...I have gotten used to being taken lightly for my words in army. However I just need to bitch sometimes.

Say yesterday I just sent out a nastily long mail to ISM. I won't say the details but you can be sure it isn't nice. Anyway I doubt he'll give me a satisfactory reply, I won't be surprised if I get F-ed for the wrong reasons.

I have worked my life hard enough in the wing, or so I think. And they are mostly within the obligations of my appointment, some of which are beyond what I am expected to do. It's not like I'd like to give a hoot, but no one seriously cares in the course. So what if my warrant is incapable? So what if there are internal struggles and ample of apathy for what is going on within the course itself? The point is, nobody truly gives a damn.

I shall cease my derogatory arguement on our SAF. Afterall, this may only be a spiteful and flawed account of my wing, I'm sure there are less-dysfunctional working environment out there.

Will have to rush down to cine to catch Pan's Labyrith later. Meeting Jo.

Am craving for more nice songs on my playlist. And when is my Z-chan releasing his new album?!?!?!

My IPPT has been stalled to the next month after EX Battleking. BOO. I wanna get gold this year, a bit more cash in my pocket will do some good. Hahaha. Oh yar, and I told Staff Raj to put me in the annual 119th Arty inter-unit relay, that translate to a more-or-less guaranteed 3-day off, provided we get into the top two placing. But I have been told AI has never conceded the first placing to any other units ever, it's a record we have been holding for the past few years. So I just need to run a decent timing, the cadets will do the rest of the magic.

CNY coming. Angbaos!

Sobs.
Sunday, January 07, 2007 - 6:39 PM
Booking in camp in another few hours' time.
Got a haircut.
Bought a handphone pouch to house my W700.
Why am I always caught in between mundane stuffs?
The only special thing that really made my weekend was my terrible flu.
Anyways, I am planning on a trip to Bangkok coming this March.
Hope it gets through.

Coming week is our mortar drills. That means we will finally be going outfield!
And I am all prepared (mentally) to be grilled under the sun...

Sigh. A boring day with another boring blog post. Hope y'all enjoyed your weekend.

About {eKef.OnTrack}
- 10:02 AM
At first glance, this may almost look like a military related blog. However, fret not my dear friends. I have no wish to land myself in any undesireable situation by revealing any top secret military information. Even as I am treading on thin ice coming up with a military-themed blog so close as to that of SAF Artillery mortar, I assure you that the information displayed here have already been released by the press or other media to the public and can be readily quoted. I will have named my reliable sources; if not, kindly drop me a mail to inform me whatsoever copyright laws I have infringed accidentally.

Okay if you haven't noticed, it's all about mortars. Yes. Mortars already used by the Singapore Armed Forces, and those...hmm elsewhere.

We're All In This Together
Monday, January 01, 2007 - 12:26 PM
A fresh start in the new year, my blog ushers in 2007 with a really cheesy but comes with a catchy beat song- We'll All In This Together from Disney's High School Musical OST. I'm still into Disney movies!

Ahhhhlalalala. I'm still captivated by the firework spectaculars last night at Esplanade waterfront. A pity I could only view it from afar at Padang due to the overwhelming crowd that turned up yesterday. Fireworks are always so fascinating to look at; I remember the first time viewing fireworks live was at the National Stadium when I was still in Primary 5. That was some compulsory NE enrichment programme for the entire Primary 5 cohort. Until today, the memory of spectacular parade of fireworks blooming right above me remains very vivid.

Anyways, yesterday's Fireworks was something very special to me...I made a wish last night, but I shall not reveal it yet. =)

Happy New Year 2007 guys!
